I have been thinking about doing something with the stock exhaust on my car. I don't want it to be loud and ricey. I want it to be aggresive. I would rather have my turbo louder then my exhaust.

If I hollowed out the cats would that make a difference? Would I throw a CEL code?

What is a good product for mufflers? I can't afford a whole exhaust system so is there any good mufflers for a decent price?

What is your current setup? (turbo/motor/exhaust)

You can buy axle-back mufflers and have them welded onto your current piping (make sure sizes match first, obviously)

 

Right now everything is stock.

small 16g turbo ( I belive, don't quote me on that)

2.0 DOHC

stock, very quiet exhaust

 

gutting the cat? i'd rather drill holes in the muffler.

it won't be ricey with a quality muffler if you have a 2 liter.

 

I just did a cat back setup on my 06 lx civic, 2.25" piping straight down from the cat to a borla muffler, no resonator. It sounds great, not the least bit ricey, cost me about $300

 

Joefigs, DSM didnt have a honda and he was a troll so he got banned................ What muffler did you get though?

 

Ha yeah I saw banned under his name after I posted, its a borla (40981 is the model number) turbo center/center, I'll post pics up this weekend when I get it back on the l lift to adjust the hangers a bit more. The sound is great, very deep not super loud, personally I think its the perfect sound.
