Default Megan Header Question

I drive a 04 civic coupe lx and currently have a magnaflow cat back exhaust. I'm interested in getting a megan 4-1 header (not the race header), but I'm not sure if doing so will quiet down my current exhaust setup. I'm only looking to replace the header and not the downpipe, ie. I'm planning on keeping the cat. I have read of couple of conflicting opinions on the issue and my hope is to either increase or keep my current setup at the same db level. Any explanations would be much appreciated.

it should either get a tiny bit louder or stay the same. if no sound change it should at least have a better tone.

Cool, thx for the quick response, I just don't wanna risk making my current setup quieter, I would actually prefer if was a bit louder. Any other opinions would appreciated

There shouldn't be hardly any change in sound, if anything it might be a LITTLE louder, if anything. You'll feel the performance over the sound, anyways.

The header is more of a performance > sound modification.
