If you buy the muffler from that shop, they might throw it on for you for free, or at least a discount.

I had a huge section of pipe cut and remounted not long ago, price for that was about 30 bucks, surely just a muffler won't be more then that.

Man the shop near me sucks...they quoted me 160. At that point it just wasn't worth it, so I went cat back.

well i bought a muffler for about 145, called and asked and he said about 35$ to put it on and then went up there and it cost me 85$ because he had to fabricate a piece to connect the muffler to the oem exhaust tubing. so make sure the inlet on your muffler is the same size as the tubing on your car or youll do the same thing, if its not make sure the guy knows and then he can tell you the actual price.

yeah that is important...well i went ahead and got mine setup to be done later this week, their install fee is 60...aint to bad, though i had to go with a genaric(sp?) muffler, but hopefully it will do the trick.
