Default new to the forums and have a few questions...

Hell all, i'm new here and I just picked up a 99 EK hatch with an H22A4 swap. I know those motors make 200hp but i was wondering what it could possibly be putting out with the following mods:

CAI
SSR Header
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
MSD Ignition
Stock P28 ECU

thanks for your time and i look forward to learning more about this quick little car..

if you put in the right ECU, probably 190whp.

otherwise... probably less than that.

so what would be the right ECU?

also, i have emissions testing where i live and for obd2 cars they are tested for codes... i'm sure the stock 99 is obd2 so if they plug it in at the emissions place, will having the other engine swapped in cause me a problem?

It probably depends on the laws of the state where you live.

Is the CEL disabled?

Jump the service connector to see what codes are thrown (see link in my signature).

or maybe it is the right ECU... could have sworn H22's used a different ECU. I would get the ECU chipped (not a FAKE or eBay chip!, a real chip from a real tuner) from maybe Phearable or something similar.

well i have a P72 ECU that was thrown in on the deal... not sure if it's chipped or not, but i was told it's in working order...

where i live, as far as the smog laws go, if ur car is obd2 or better u get plugged up and the sniffer goes in the tail pipe.

if it's obd1 or before u get the sniffer and they dont plug it in...

also they visually verify theres a catalytic convertor...
