New Muffler Help!

I currently have a 4" fart can as a muffler and I need to get rid of it cause it sounds horrible. Also aftermarket mufflers are illegal in New York so I want something less obvious. I'm thinking like a 2.5" magnaflow or something. Does anyone have any sites/links that they can give me for some help? Thanks

you can also look into apexi ws2 or greddy sp2, also heard OBX twin loops are pretty quiet. no laws are worst than California. ticketed twice for aftermarket exhaust and i had one where the outlet hole looks like stock. so i am back to stock with a welded on chrome muffler tip. looks pretty good.

Here're a few that sell universal Magnaflows:

http://www.hottexhaust.com

http://www.planetmagnaflow.com/

...and there are tons more out there. I think the Magnaflow sound is among the best.

Check out Pacesetter mufflers. The good things are you get a somewhat good looking tailpipe and the sound is not fart can loud. The bad things are the black paint coating bakes off and will rust quickly if you live in an area where the road get salted in the winter and it doesn't sound like a high-quality muffler like ANSA.

It's hard to believe that the Magnaflows are so loud that it is the only reason why you get tickets. I hear some stock Mustangs that are louder than my Magnaflow. My exhaust sounds just as good, but not as loud. The other nice thing about the Magnas is that they are all-stainless steel. Borlas are, too.

you can get a silencer for cheaper than it costs to get a new one.

My cars quiet, i never get pulled over for noise.
I get "Oversized exhaust outlet tickets" anything over stock size is illegal.

I forgot about that rediculous law. If I were there, I'd start a drive to repeal it.
