Newbie question: Metal braces with intake, what are they?
I recently purchased a Pilot Motorsports intake and it installed and works fine. However it came with two little metal pieces which appear to be intended for bracing the intake, but I don't know where they go. You can see two similiar pieces shown in-between the hose clamps in the following photo:

Thanks in advance for helping me, I'm very new to this.
Mike
PS
My intake came with absolutely no literature. No instructions or even a sheet defining the contents of the box, so I'm a little skeptical.

Check out my pictures in
<<<my photos.
Look at the engine bay pictures. You'll see the bracket coming down from the intake where the blue connector piece is. In your case instead of having the connector, the filter will be there. So, the L bracket goes under where the filter meets the intake tube. Then position the flat bracket to a bolt that will work.
Good luck!
