Default Noob Questions, PLEASE HELP

Alright I have a catback exhaust on a 98 civic EX and i was wondering about.....

is the header the part that connects the exhaust to the engine?

whats the diffrence between a 4-1 header, and a 4-2-1, and which one is better for my type of car.

is "dynamik" a good brand for a header, if not, what is?(on sale for 100$ on k2motor.com)

what type of cold air intake is the best with regards to price and quality for my type of car?

yes the header connects your engine to the cat and back. header type really depends on what you want to do with the car. a 4-1 will help with higher rpm power while the 4-2-1 will give you better low and mid range power. as far as the header you named ive never heard of it. the better cheaper header seems to be the dc sports header by many. although there are many headers in higher price ranges that will give you more power one way or the other. as far as CAI, AEM is chosen by most for quality purposes. injen is another nice intake system for your car.

ive heard from ppl that dc sports will be going down in price soon, so look for that? megan racing is not a bad company either for headers, if your on a budget.

General concensus on the types of headers 4-1 is for drag racing (as in your car in not your DD) and 4-2-1 is more for a street/strip (i.e. your DD) car.
