O2 Removal

Default O2 Removal

What would be the best way to remove the O2 sensor, if possible i would like to remove the wiring and take it off while im not on my back, would i cut the wire to do this, and i do then what would be the best way to connect it back. (First Header Replacement for me)

theres a harness in the engine bay, unclip that harness. Then go to the sensor itself and using an open wrench, just unscrew it. Simple at that, no cutting of wires.

it's easiest if the header is off the car before you remove the o2 sensor (you'll have to unplug the sensor before you remove it). I think the wrench size is like 20mm or something.

k , i got the header off, i heard that there is a special O2 sensor removing socket, how much easier would that make the removal?

Same question... can't get the o2 sensor off with a normal 24 mm open socket...

the socket does make it vaguely easier (at least you can use an impact or air ratchet), but if it's fused in there and you can't get it loose... it's pretty much there for life
