One Last Question About the O2 Simulator...

In this picture, the 3 wires that you need to splice into come between the harness and the ECU itself, meaning nothing after where these wires are spliced is used, whcih includes the O2 sensor itself. When i splice into these wires, can i just remove the o2 sensor and plug the bung with a plug that came with my header? (It screws right into the o2 sensor bung). The 4th wire in that diagram (on the far right) is just a heater wire to make the o2 sensor last longer, and since the o2 sensor isnt even in there, that wire wouldnt be used. This would be convenient becasue it would eliminate some wires running down through my engine bay. So can i do this since the actual sensor isnt used anyway once i get the simulator?
