Question about removing stock airbox 98 civic ex
ok so don't laugh at my elite paint skills, but in the picture below, the "eyes" are the top two bolts holding the airbox in place. The one circled in red is the lower bolt, and as far as I can tell from the top, it isn't mean to be removed from the top. The top is like a pyramid or musroom shaped cone that comes to a dull smooth point. There are no sides on the bolt and it's completely smooth. Am I SUPPOSED to have to get at this thing from some other way? It just seems really odd... it's so smooth it doesn't even look like a stripped bolt, it looks like it was always shaped this way.

RE: Question about removing stock airbox 98 civic ex
Alright man, I'll give your question my best shot. I too have a 98 EX. You definetly unbolt the two at the top. I don't fully remember there being another bolt. Basically anything that is black, you take out. It should come out quite easily. Write me back if you still can't get it out. Hope it helped, in a way.

it may be a expansion plug that you have to pretty much just pull out if there isn't any nuts on the other end of it anywhere
