Default Question on exhaust cause I messed up

First I have a 06 Civic EX, So I got a flowmaster 40 series cause I love that deep sound it makes, what I don’t like is HOW LOUD it is cause I took my resonator off as well.

Will a resonator help with how loud it is, and if so what should I get.

resonators tend to take raspiness out of the exhaust, not really all that helpful for noise levels.

twin loop muffler or the right turbo or chambered muffler with a resonator is what you want. flowmaster doesnt do quiet unless an suv. i suggest watching some videos of quality exhaust systems and finding one you think haa the right level for you. if your not interested in spending that kind of cash since im well aware how much most of them cost. once you find an exhaust system sound find similar parts muffler and resonator and use those. you can also buy one of those junk ebay fart can exhaust system and chop off the watermelon shooter and have a real muffler put on. larger pipe paired with a resonator and a good muffler should get you what your after.
let me add again on the ebay junk. the pipes are decent the resonator could be better but its not terrible the muffler is garbage. its just a glass pack chopped in half with a tin garbage can welded around it. so if you buy one your only buying it for the pipes.

Thanks for these insights. I am concerned that I might experience the same problem when I get a new exhaust system. Good thing I found everything I need for a new exhaust system at 4WheelOnline.
