quick question
 

a friend of mine gave me the muffler off of his 1984 300zx turbo, because he now has a straight pipe, and i want to put it on my 99 EX ... is this a good idea or a bad idea ? the muffler has a 2.5 inch inlet and is a twin tip and the only writing on the muffler is "Midas" and is there anything i should after the muffler is on ?

if you can weld, it should be ok. dont expect much of anything except noise from it though. and make sure it wont hit the bumper once its in, or it will melt it and look dumb. but if you have to pay to get it welded in, i would just save up for a decent cat-back.
