quieting down the beast

today was the worst day ever, personally. getting pulled over 3rd time this week. and other non-honda ****. anyways. is there anyway to quiet down my car? i have the stock cat with straight pipe to a megan racing muffler. i can't floor it to pass some asshole in miami without waking the dead. i love it and the way it sounds is beautiful. but it's not worth the miami heat up with the pigs. so would adding a resonator make it reasonably quiet so i don't have to remove anything. or what?

2.25 inch piping

holy **** son... 3X in a week? maybe you should just save yourself the headache and just take it off. if your getting in THAT much trouble, i don't think it's worth it. if you REALLY wanna keep it though, get a silencer, and the longest resonator you can possibly find.

i know man. i have a silencer, my muffler came with it. but then i know one day i'm going to take it off again, i want to make a move that's like. "okay i can't change it back" type thing.

i just came back from the local muffler shop, they put a stock muffler on it, and took off the megan racing muffler. car is quiet and the only noise is from the engine when i floor it, sounds badass ;)

you should probably change your siggy then ;)... I'd say get a twin-loop muffler sometime... they're pretty quiet and they still provide pretty good gains.

if you've got a sick muffler, all you need is a sick res. Magnaflow is cheap and does SO much, although it does get a bit louder after a few hundred miles. Anyway, i got a 22" to fit easily, prolly coulda fit a longer one, thats hwat i recommend

Hahaha, saw this one coming from the start of the thread, lol. I agree with flip, even though I haven't done it...yet... I'm working on it.
