Recomendations for not loose power in exhaust

Hey everybody i have a 95 civic ex d16z6 1.6l vtec......... So far i have cold air intake and a 3Apex muffler 2'5 inches inlet and interior piping with a 6"body and 4"tip. First is this too big?? am i loosing power? Well i want to put some headers and a cat back. Will all this thing will drown my power considering hte backpressure myth article??? my resonator is broken...should i take it off and replaced it or just leave the broken one???.. it buzz sometimes. What about hte piping.. i got the stock.. how wide pipes can i put in adition to all that stuff i want to do?? Now my car is loud and i know that with headers and cat back it will get louder so once again should i relace the resonator for another one???

Thanks people for listening .. your help will be deeply apreciated.:D

muffler dosnt add power or anything like that, muffler just make it so ur exhaust isnt extremely loud. as for cat-back piping go with 2.25 inch tubing, 2.5 to 3 inch tubing works better on boosted cars. i suggest just buying a magnaflow or meganracing catback exhaust, they come with resonators built into the midpipe and will sound good. and chill with the question marks...

Thank you very much dude. so i should put 2.25inches piping cause my car is not boosted and install a magnaflow or megan cat-back rigth? does the cat-back come in 1 universal measurement or the come in different size of piping? Considering hte cat back has a resonator should i remove the broken one or leave it there?

Yes get 2.25" piping. If you want to save some $ though you could always make a custom setup. Anyways if you're looking for some cheap prices, go to www.performancepeddler.com. I got all of my magnaflow stuff off of there and it was way cheaper. They also have a bunch of other companies too. For example I just looked and on Magnaflow's website their cat-back system for a 95 civic is $484.00. The same system on performancepeddler is $374.01. Good luck

actually partsandaccessories.com is cheaper with the magnaflow stuff by a little and it has free shipping. just throwing that out there...
