Resonator Questions
I have a 1995 Civic Ex and i have a short ram intake and a magnaflow muffler and i want to make my car a little bit louder but not too loud i was thinking about taking the resonator out and putting in straight pipe but i think that might be to loud would changing the resonator make it louder like putting in a high performance one? because my car isnt very loud when it first starts up and i like the sound of cars starting up so any input will help, thanks.

RE: Resonator Questions
resonators quiet the exhaust down. Trust me that you don't want a louder exhaust; afer about a week or two you'll wish it was quieter. A resonator will almost always make your exhaust sound better, so a resonator would be a good idea no matter what. Straight pipes will be super annoying, at the very least get some sort of muffler on there, if not a Magnaflow. Magnaflow resonator's are super good btw. They can be found on eBay for cheap, just search for "Magnaflow muffler" and find one that fits the diameter of your exhaust.

yeah thats what i was thinking of putting a magnaflow high flow resonator on cause i dont want it to be annooyyingly loud cause itll drive me and my neighbors crazy, is it better for the resonator to be longer or shorter? or no difference

the longer the better. Long it is, the more it quiets it down. I fit a 22" Magnaflow res on mine easily.

Keep the resonator though, not fun without it.

RE: Resonator Questions
Naw it seemed to quiet it down quite a bit IMO man.....not worse is any way at all. Now i just need to upgrade my muffler with a nice Magnaflow or twin-loop one and i'll be set, but idk man, cabin noise went down if anything.
