Default Silencer

I got my car just a couple of days ago, used, and although I was planning on putting some money into it anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it already had an AEM cai and DC Sports headers installed, ALONG WITH this loud *** muffler. Has really good tone but WAY too loud for my taste. The cops around here are ****** and I just want something a little quieter but I don't want to go chopping off the muffler and replacing it. I see these mufflers advertised as "with adjustable silencer", but can you just buy them by themselves? Or does anyone have one that they don't use and would like to get rid of?

no i mean the cat. cuz without it, even if he gets a new muffler or w/e, it'll still be loud as hell...

I don't want to have to buy a new muffler. I'm just looking for a quick fix. Have any of you had experience using these things? Noticable difference?

Ah, ok I got ya.

As for the silencer, you'll probably lose some power, because all the air that was rushing through the muffler, now has the squeeze out that tiny hole. Don't know if it's that noticeable, but I guess you need the lower sound. As for the sound though, it'll be alittle lower, but if you do get one, make sure the fitment is perfect, cause you don't want it rattling around in there.
