SIMOTA Intakes: Hot or Not?

I'm about to buy a Simota Ram Intake for my 95 Civic but finding it hard to talk to anyone who has one!! Are they New? I didn’t really have a choice in what brand of intake I got since I'm living in Taiwan and a AEM or K&N are very expensive here and i didn’t want to spend too much. I came across these Simota intakes which is a local brand in Taiwan and was just curious to anyone who is using them now. I found their site to be impressive for the price working out to be just under 90USD for my carbon intake set-up.
You can view these Intakes @
www.simota.com

Or if you’re in a rush go to the product list @

Thanks guys let's heat this Thread up....

there was this guy who did a huge group buy on simotos a couple months earlier. you might find the topic somewhere in the sale section

everyone said they were great so you should be fine getting one

I am super happy with my simota intake, it clears my strut brace (96 dx) and the set up is very quality (piping, equipment, filter, couplers..).

Heck yeah. My simota is great... I had mine redirected to sit in front of my slash guard in between the front fender... that is just because it floods here... works great though, nice power, good sound, and a little improvement in mpg.

AEM and K&N are History according to Simota.

They are Dyno proven and have more airflow!

These Simota Intakesare things of the future, say goodbye to the other leading brands.

So is AEM and K&N - both are dyno proven. As far as airflow goes though, care to elaborate why you believe simotas give more airflow? Dynos btw, from the manufacturer's website don't say much about their product (this goes for ANY brand). of course they're gonna make their stuff look good. they might be right, but maybe they failed to mention that their car has OTHER MODS installed. that civic dyno from simota for all you know, might have a k20 swapped in. you don't know...

Kinda overglorifying don't you think?

my guess is spamming simota rep making up the story. he has another thread talking them up as well.
