Default specifics on header

i have money now and plan on putting a header on my 96 dx. wondering what the best one to get would be. would one off ebay be okay or should i go with a name brand? also about the converter. i know mine is on the stock manifold. i have a magnaflow high flow converter but its 3" in and out...overkill? or would this be usable if i got pipe reducers? will a header make my gas mileage better? i know it did on my camaro but just wondering. im getting like 27mpg right now.

if you haven't already, go buy a bottle of "seafoam." it cleans off carbon deposits and other crap from your car. it'll definitely increase your gas mileage.

for your header, i think you should try to shy away from ebay. some crack over time. the cheapest company i would go with is megan racing. their quality is very good for the price.

if you live in california, you'll need a dc sports header because it has the CARB sticker that you need to pass emission testing.

megan is like 150-200. dc is anywhere from 200-350.

the cat that you have on right now should be fine. provided that the rest of the exhaust system is smaller in diameter, you won't notice low end tq loss
