Splitting Exhaust

Im going to buy an evo2 exhasut system for my 2000 civic. I want to split it for duals. If i split it, i will need two mufflers right? I dont know much about exhausts so please excuse me for being a noob.

I don't think you are going to get a very favorable response in regards to splitting your exhaust:

Im not looking for opinions, I just need to know how to do it. Its just for looks so I'm not concerned about the performance aspect of it.

so could i buy an exhaust system and get it modified or would i need the entire system fabricated from scratch?

it would be easier and cheaper to get the whole thing fabbed, but its going to be hard to find 2 greddy evo mufflers. they only sell them as a cat-back, but you can find them occassionally that people have cut off.

why dont you go to the the muffer shop, have them run you a 2 and 1/4 all the way back, and then split that in to a Y, then just weld on the two evo mufflers where ever you may find them. Less hasle, less pain in the arse.

Then you don't need 2 mufflers. You can just get a fake 2nd tailpipe, and even if you want the 2 mufflers, just throw a fake 2nd muffler on, and don't connect it. That way when you finally change your mind, it'll be easy to remove.

The funniest thing is that he thinks this will look good.

Why would you want something that represents performance "just for looks" if it has nothing to do with the performance?

That's like putting a condom on with no intention of having sex.
