Default Stock y8 Manifold VS. Skunk2 Manifold

So if im going to upgrade from my stock y7 intake mani up to a y8 mani, while im upgrading should i just get a Skunk 2 intake maniolfd instead? : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SKUNK...36877969QQrdZ1

And can i port my y7 TB to match the size of the y8 manifold? Or are they different sizes anyway? Because it seems like if my TB is still the same size, the bigger manifold wont make much different considering it's after the small TB.

One more thing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-99...QQcmdZViewItem

It says there is are bad tps and iac valve sensors. I have no clue what those are; do i have them on my car right now and could i just repalce them with the ones i have right now?

You will need sensors from the Y8 to bolt up an S2 manifold.. I ended up returning mine after i found this out.. only cuz i didnt want to get into dealing with it ahead of time when i was going to be just doing a MINI ME anyways.. You can port match your Y7 TB but it will cost more than just getting a B16 62 MM TB that will bolt right up.. i believe the Type R might be the 62 mm one.. search the forums .. pretty sure i have seen a layout of what size TB for which engine..

^ not necessarily true, I'm using a D15B7 MAP sensor, and TPS on my 7th gen with a S2 mani.

Just wondering, if I put the skunk2 or the edelbrock intake manifold on my d16y8, what kind of gains can I expect?

but with the OEM y8 manifold, i've got all the sensors i need rihgt? Like just bolt it right up?

And with the TBs, is the OEM y8 a 62mm?

TB and IM ports dont have to match.. but if they do you get better throttle response.. BBK makes a 62mm if you want aftermarket.. but like i said pretty sure the B16 Type R is 62mm..if your just swapping to a stock Y8 mani though.. not much point changing TB.. it will bolt up to your Y7.. and you most likely will not see any gain in swapping it

with my stock TB, when i have it out, mounting it onto my new Intake Mani, can i just use a dremel, sand paper, steel wool and all that stuff to port my TB out a little bit more? Or will that mess things up bad if im not exactly precise with it?
