I just want to upgrade. If i went up to just a 62mm tb, am I looking a small or decsent gain?

gain will be like 1hp with both...if that. the biggest gain you will see is throttle response, which will feel like bottom end tq and power.

i like kedawei's suggestion. you will see both a poewr increase and a response increase with headwork. a good PnP job, 3 angle valve grind, and maybe a good aftermarket cam/valvetrain to top it off could net you up to 20hp at the wheels.
