Default test pipe

well my exhaust has been rattling like a bitch lately. it's coming from inside the catalytic converter so my options are what...a) get a new cat or, b)test pipe? would an ebay test pipe be a bad idea? i dont know anything about these things, some help would be appreciated! thanks

If you have a obd2 95 and newer I think, then you will get a cel and your car will run like crap. So you would need to get a new cat. If you are obd1 or obd0 then you could use a test pipe. However this is not legal or kind to the environment not to mention you will not pass emissions. Fix it the right way and just replace the cat.

might end up doing that. i had a shop check it out and they said it's not in bad shape or anything.. just as long as you can stand it. an oem cat seems like the way to go
