Default throttle body spacer

Has anyone used a throttle body spacer on a 98 civic?? I am thinking of ordering 1 but wanted to ask first because of the price to see if it's useful & what are the benefits.. I have an intake & soon a full cat-back exhaust to come (flowmaster60).
