Default Throttle body spacer options?

I have a 2000 civic ex and have installed a new stage 2 clutch with 8lb flywheel, aem air intake, greddy evo 2 cat back and dc header.
The idle seems alittle off and I am looking to do a throttle body spacer, but it seems like i only have two brand and price options. Obx for $40 or Air raid for $130. Does anyone know what the big difference is or if there are better options.

Thanks. I've heard that. I didn't want to tune it until I put a cam and springs in and for some reason I thought that would help smooth the idle out. The idle difference is barely noticeable. I'll just wait.

The idle is probably due to your lightweight flywheel; it has less rotating mass, so it's not going to idle as well as a car with a stock flywheel.

And like the others said, a TB spacer is useless. If you're going with a bigger cam, I'd recommend an aftermarket intake manifold and larger TB though.

Thanks. While we're on the subject of worth doing or not. What about a new under drive pulley? Worth it? Also, If I do another throttle body what should I be looking for? Brand/Size?

An underdrive pulley is good if you really want to lose rotating mass, but as far as how much of an effect it would have on a d16, I can't honestly say. If you have the money sitting around and nothing better to spend it on, it won't hurt, but there's definitely better things to buy with the money.

As far as the throttle body, I know skunk2 makes one for 88-00 civics, but I'm not sure about other decent companies. I'd say something around 60mm or 66mm would be a good size to get, but it would really depend on how big the cam is and if you're going to turbo or not.

I'm looking at doing the crower stg 2 with springs and retainers. I am also looking at a turbo down the road.(not real soon though).

D-series aren't internally balanced. Underdrive crank pulleys can cause your engine to develop crankwalk due to not being balanced.

Default Throttle body spacer options

Hey guys was reading a 4by mag the other day and i noticed on a jeep that it had a throttle body spacer and it said that the spacer aided in more power. I just wanted to know if that is true and how does it work?

Cheers loppa
