Default THUNDERMUFF!!!

So I got it on today. Those reports of it being easy are true. The longer hangers being needed for the back is also true.

My intial impression of it is a noticeable increase in mid-range/daily driving power from like 2500 to 4500. It's actually quieter than I expected being so big and also quieter than the slip on "rice" muffler that was on there. I can't even hear it at idle; and the idle seems a little lower and smoother. I hear reports that it gets louder when it gets broken in though. The gi-normous football shooter hides mostly under the bumper as you can see.

I haven't G-Tech'ed it yet but I will on my way home from work, so stay tuned.

One thing though, the spring loaded bolts that go on at the joint by the axle didn't fit so I had to use the bolts that came with it. I know exhaust expands and contracts; is this gonna have any adverse effects? Are those spring loaded bolts supposed to be tightened down all the way and the springs compressed or should there be some play?

they should be tightened down all the way. the little flange on the one side should be tight against the hole that the nut is on the other side of. then the springs can flex a little bit to allow for engine movement.

Crap, I think I have 'em in wrong then. No worries, I have to go back in this weekend to put in my high-flow cat and header. Do I need to get some more of those springy bolts for the joint in the back or will the replacement bolts be alright?
