Default Ticket

Got a ticket today for an oversized exhaust pipe. I wonder if I can fight the ticket, I have a magnaflow catback, it has a 4" tip. It's in Alberta.
Anyone else get a similar ticket?

My god 4" is tht really necessary? i mean turbo muffler are usually 3" inch but wow 4. Anyways was ur muffler too loud ? proably thats why the police guy pulled ur over and when he took a closer look herealize that ur muffler was too big. if its too loud u can get an silencer on it to helpquiet it down this way u will be less noticeable

what VC did he cite you for? i've never heard of getting a ticket for an oversized exhaust tip.... most large trucks with aftermarket exhaust have 4" tips.

Ya it was a $115 ticket and I think it said "Widened Exhaust Outlet"
It wasn't for the noise, my exhaust is really quiet, I was pulled over for doing 15km over the limit which is like 10 miles or something. That was a $90 ticket.
I just thought maybe there was some way to get around the exhaust ticket.
The previous owner had done the exhaust, it's this one here:
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ort&id=221

Just not sure what to do now, new exhaust?

this sounds VERY WIERD.... wierd canadians.... id talk to some more cops...... i dont see HOW that could be illegal.... but ive seen some preaty stupid laws before.......

and some state in the USA is trying to get a law passed to make it illegal to run aftermarket exaust systems which are realy stupid and probably wont pass cause any rusted out exaust system needs to be replaced...... lol

a aftermarket exhaust law is as stupid, if not stupider, than virginia's law of $1000+ for speeding tickets.
