Is it true.........
that a SRI produces more power in (low to mid) RPM ranges, but an CAI produces better power in(mid to high) RPM ranges? Can someone comfirm this please Another question is does a SRI have any long or shorterm porblems on the engine.Thank you for any help.;)

RE: Is it true.........
i'll say this like ive said many times before. i have found no proof of any SRI outperforming a CAI anywhere..ever.

RE: Is it true.........
You actually have it backwards. Although there isn't any difference in peak Hp, a CAI does have a power spike in the mid-range due to the length of the intake tube.
Man, you are really concerned about ill effects aren't you? No, intakes only make your engine run more efficiently, which is good. Make sure you get a quality filter though, otherwise who knows what you'll be sucking up in there. |

dude youve asked the same question about a billion times

RE: Is it true.........
Hey, does any one know if a SRI is better then my CAI?

RE: Is it true.........
Holy crap. Did he just say that? Putting a "j/k" notation after something doesn't make it Ok to say it in the first place.
From what I have gathered, Sac reads all of the posts and if his help is needed, he'll give it, but he isn't going to chime in on every SRI vs. CAI thread. You have been posting about this all week and people (me in particular) have given you a lot of data and opinions. I once wondered about the almighty intake debate, as I am sure a lot of us have, but I surfed and read and read some more and then I formed my own opinion. Go back and read your 6 or 7 posts about it and then type "intake", "SRI", "CAI" or anything to do with this subject into the search box and then decide for yourself. I challenge you to do some of your own research and come back here and school a newbie (or us idiots) with your plethora of dynos, knowledge of intake charge velocities, and expert opinions on laminar and turbulent flow. |
