Trying to find a downpipe for 2000 EX

Last year my Civic failed a state inspection due to a small exhaust leak in the downpipe.

I found a local company selling one at a cheap price because there was no catalytic converter included. This means there was no where for my o2 sensor to plug into and threw a code.

Now I have to get my car to pass emissions and have tried the spark plug non-fouler trick with no luck. I cannot find a downpipe with a catalytic converter anywhere.

Can someone please point me in the right direction to find the pipe from the manifold to the muffler with a catalytic converter attached.

Thanks

It should be two seperate peices I have a 99 EX with a D16Y8 and mine are two spereate peices. Should be able to replace just the converter and not have to replace both

Okay, where do you order your parts from?

You might try Majestic Honda (www.hondaautomotiveparts.com). They have OEM stuff for cheaper than dealership price. But on that part, it's gonna be expensive...

Thanks, why is the catalytic converter listed at over $800?

WellFedHobo 03-16-2011 09:44 AM

That was the original cost. Probably because of the platinum inside them. The actual cost is $575 now. That's too much, of course. For that you can buy a complete aftermarket replacement exhaust.

Idk your emissions standards where you live i just bought one from andysautosport.com for my 99 EX because it was rusted to **** and rattling. Heres the link to the one I bought for mine http://www.andysautosport.com/honda/...f00182334.html
