Hey, the exhaust kit on my 04 civic is still too loud... can i get another resonator or what? what should I do to keep my muffler tip but not so loud in my car? I have dynamatted my whole car and it still drones and i hate it

 

What exhaust do you have, do you have any other mods, some companies sell inserts for the muffler that will quiet it so you may wanna check that out; I think there are generic ones also.

 

You could add a glasspact which would deepen the tone up and quiet it down some with out slowing up the flow much. Just a though.

 

The resonator looks like a glorified glasspack to me. Just take your resonator out, measure it, and get a glasspack that's a little longer.

There is no way in hell I'm going to pay 500 bones for an exhaust when I can build my own for $200. I've got some 2.25" mandrel bends, a welder, a band saw, and lots of time. All I need is a universal muffler, a glasspack, and a flowmaster cat.

 

just make sure if you get a glasspack that you get a really good one. one big misconception about glasspacks is that they deepen your tone. well the truth is they can if theyre really high quality. those crappy no-name ebay ones and cherrybombs will sound like ***. another misconception is that glasspacks always sound like ***...when in reality they can sometimes sound really good.
