want more torque

got a 97 ex sedan and i want to make some simple mods that will increase my low end torque but not sacrifice so much at the top end. i've been a V8 truck and car guy for years and i crave torque, it is my addiction of choice. any help will be appreciated.

hate to be the bearer of bad news, but its going to be difficult to properly "feed the need" for torque with only simple mods. What do you have done currently?

Honda's aren't known for their torque, which sucks but it's true.

The only thing that will add a respectable amount of torque is f/i.

i'm not looking for world breaking numbers ,but on parts websites most affordable bolt ons advertise more top end which is not always possible ("legal") around where i'm from. something that is more street oriented in performance.bn any suggestions

RE: want more torque

Well most bolt ons have different versions for different purproses. A good example is headers, if you want top end, get a 4-1, if you want mid range get a 4-2-1. Or a cam, get a stage 1 or 2 instead of the 3. A short ram intake is said to make slightly more lower end than a CAI...

The list goes on. You can buy all those parts, just make sure you get the correct variant for your application.

so a 4-2-1 header and a short ram intake should yield a little more bottom end. cool. up here in labrador, canada there is not many chances to truly open up the potential of a high rpm monster motor.
