thanks, that helps a lot, seemed pretty intimidating at first cause i know very little about cars. would there be a significant performance loss if I didnt do the intake and the fuel injectors?

The ECU is for those injectors. What's the point of doing the mini-me swap if you're not going to do it right. Also you need to use either the y8 intake or a short ram/cai the y7 intake just won't work with a y8 period.

yeah, i have a short ram. I am just excited to get it done as soon as i can afford it, and more parts=more money=more time.

i was the same b4 i did mine and i am so glad i did it i learned so much from doing it myself. i was sketchy about doing it cuz some pple told me i wouldnt be able to do it but it wasnt even that difficult. just make sure you get your timing right, that was my biggest hangup. oh and make sure you have the tools to get the crank pulley off, i had to borrow a gigantic impact wrench from my buddies shop to get it off...after breaking a few tools that i thought would get it off oh well

Your d16y7 short ram is different from a d16y8 short ram fyi.
