What TO DO FIRST...
Ok as the tilte asks im not to sure what a civic should have done to it first. Ive been modifiying cars for 2yrs but ive never had a New car so i dont wanna **** it up. My last car was a Rover 220GTi Turbo (GTi Being the Rarest) It was a 2.0lt Turbo engine that ran 197bhp and similar torque at 8psi as standard. I quickly upgraded the intercooler to a Charge Cooler, The airfilter to a 300Bhpmax Cone Filter, I had the ECU Wiped and reconfigued, Straight through exhaust and put it on Michelin 16-215/45s for grip. it ran on a Rolling Road at 258Bhp@6250Rpm Ive still got the beasty for sale.
ANyway that car was from 1992 and my Civ is from 2003 so i didnt care if the Rover Blew up.
Im thinking of:
Airfilter=Open (with no heat soak) or Better stil Enclosed for power gains.
Full exhaust System From Manifold to a High Flow CAT to a Decent Back Box(thats not guna Vibrate my car to pieces wen the VTEC kicks.
Thats it for now im only doing under the hood. how much would this cost for a CIVIC TYPE R 2003 Model,UK Spec.
Or if you guys hav any better ideas...

the cold air intake by far will net you better gains than a short ram or drop in air filter. be sure however to use a bypass valve if driving in wet weather. full exhaust is definatly a must as along with the intake, helps your engine to breath better thus increasing your engine effeciency. one thing to consider however is your intentions on building the car. n/a cars require a different set up compared to your f/i cars. no sense in spending money if it doesnt fit you future intentions.
The first thing I would do is get a cat back exhaust, then Rims, then probably you intake. It doesnt matter after that. If you still have warranty on you car the exhaust and intake might break the contract i would check before doing any mods.
