Last day i was reading a local car magazine here from Puerto Rico and i see one genious thing. The guy had in his header car converter and bigger pipes but he wanted a car with power from the exhaust when racing but low noise in normal condition so he leave the stock muffler wich is very quiet. Then he mounted a bypass valve similas to a throthel body mechnism in the pipes after the cat so when i want more power he just manually open the bypass from inside the car and the gases get out by the bypass with high flow and not by the muffle with lo flow.
