Whats including in a exhaust system...
 

Ok, ive been reading here and there and learning some things. What is included in a exhaust system, what should you buy. Headers, muffler, tip, catback....im a bit confused bout all the parts that go into upgrading your exhaust.

what kind of civic do you have? in a cataback exhaust, you get everything from the cat back, meaning the piping, resonator, and muffler. the tip you mentioned is part of the muffler. the headers go in front of the catback, so you DON'T need to upgrade that at the same time if you don't want to

in a catback system, everything from the cat.converter to the exhaust and the tip is part of the exhaust so u dont need to worry about that and like ^ said, u dont need to buy a header rite away or even at all

if you want a full exhaust system you get a header, high flow cat or test pipe, and a catback exhaust...if you just want the sound and save somemoneyget a muffler only...if you want some sound and a little boost do a catback...if u you have enough money get the full thing and youll have nuce sound a some new pep
