to wrap or not to wrap
Would you buy a stainless header and wrap it or just buy a ceramic?

RE: to wrap or not to wrap
wrapping it is just going to keep the header from getting too hot on the outside. I dont see how it will do much for u, but it wont hurt either i suppose.

RE: to wrap or not to wrap
Wrapping will also keep your exhaust hotter, which is supposed to help it flow faster.

I have ceramic and I am gonna wrap it.
Heat is bad. |

RE: to wrap or not to wrap
Not necessarily. Higher exhaust gas temps are a serious red flag. Cooler cylinder temps make more power.
But I am sure you were referring to the exhaust gas velocity in relation to it's temperature so... yes hotter is faster. |

its faster cuz it takes up more space. same reason a 2.25" is faster than a 3"

veolicity of air. theres more pressure if the pipe is smaller, or if theres more air. it puts more pressure on it, therefore causing it to move faster. its the same concept as putting your thumb over the end of a garden hose and leaving a little hole open. goes a lot faster and further than if you dont cover it huh?
