Default 8000K vs 6000K HID...help

I'mgoing to get HID in the next day or so and I was going to get 8000K but some forums were saying that light output is not that great, so I'm thinking 6000K now. Anyone have any experience with what I should go with?

the higher the temp the less output you will get. i got the 6000k and they look great. 8000k is just too blue in my opinion.

I have some Some 8k mine are not to blue or too white. The 6k it's much more brighter with a slight blue tint to it. But I love my 8k and + mine are great in rainy conditions. Never had a problem with visibility. The road looks great. I will try to take some pix and post them up when I get home from school. You wont be disappointed with my lights.

The only problem with HID kits you have to adjust the headlights real good or you will blind drivers...

i dont think theirs to much of a difference... the 8Ks are alittle more pure blue, but main thing is if you scared about cops then i would stick to some 6Ks cause any thing higher says WATCH ME....
tho i just switched to 8Ks in my 99civic cause i like the little sharper blue color. i cannt tell much of a light output difference... lets face it HIDs are still a hell of alot brighter than stockers.LOL so tho they might not be as bright then are still brighter than stockers
