97 civic clear coat pealing any suggestions

My 97 civic has started a skin problem. The factory clear coat is starting to lift and peel. Does honda stand behind their cars? Any one deal with this? Thanks Toby

clearcoat peel happens all the time if you don't wax your paint enough.

depending on how bad the peel is, you're probably screwed.

take it to a local body shop and get their two cents.

it may be light enough to wear it can be surgically repaired with a light sanding with super fine grit sandpaper or a rubbing compound, but highly unlikely if you have the classic peel going on.

Trust me dude once it starts it won't stop. Mine happened because my car was repainted before i bought it and the ass clowns did a bad job prepping it and probably did like 3 coats if that. Mines getting repainted this spring completely compliments of my dads metal fabrication shop.
Heres her skin cancer....... poor girl.
