I recently replaced the stock headlights on my 98 Civic coupe /w some Anzo USA projectors. My stock parking/signal bulb is clear, but I want to replace it w/ an amber one. I know the bulb on the 99-00 models is amber, but I'm pretty sure they won't fit. Does anyone have any suggestions?

 

They have amber ones. I bought an amber turn signal bulb for my 97 at Advance Auto

I went to Advance and they didn't have any. I guess I'm gonna try the 99-00 bulbs and see if they fit. You don't happen to have the model number of the bulbs you purchased do you?

 

what bulb number is it?? i have a 98ex and the factory bulb is a 3496 which is the same as a 1157 which u can fing a amber 1157 all day long at ur local auto parts store

 

The 1157 works perfectly. I was afraid it wouldn't fit into the headlight assembly because it has more of a bulb shape to it. The 3496 is much more cylindrical, but it didn't seem to matter. Thanks guys!

 

I have the Sylvania Silver-star Amber Bulbs those are aweome...In the day time it gives your corner lights a Rainbowish color to it with some Bluish tint to it(glass Appearance).. But They light up AMBER..O got mine at Auto-Zone..ive seen them also in Pep-Boys, Kragen

Too late now I guess. My dad has 96 Civic Lx and I 00 Si we both used the same amber bulbs..

 

Really, they dont have amber bulbs?
96-00 use the same bulbs.
I just cant understand why advance doesnt have them, what about Auto Zone?
