Default blackhousing lights

First off is black housing the smoked lights, where they look tinted?

If so can you do that to any kind of lights?

Cuz I already bought projectors with black in the back, insted of chrome, can i smoke them?

Black housing means the back part of the light behind the lens is black, as opposed to mirrored or chrome.

Smoke usually refers to the tinting of the lens overtop of the light housing. You can still smoke the lens of the black housing headlights, actually I think you can buy them like that.

I wouldn't see why not, the lights work the same as the chrome ones. Only on the black they don't reflect off the chrome. It's still the same amount of light I'm pretty sure. The lens shouldn't make any difference as long as you don't smoke them with black spraypaint.

It will be harder to see at night if you smoke them, but they will look really nice, its up to you

Does it really dim the light that much? I guess it depends on how smoked you go. If the housing is black I don't see the point in smoking the lens... I think they look great how they come.

Yeah it really matters, even one layer of smoke will reduce the light output.

Im not saying its a bad idea, just try them first, and if they are not dark enought for you, then go ahead and smoke them, its all up to you
