blinkers
i just bought some red LED blinkers for my front corners. I put them in and now my stock HU says all kind of **** it didnt say before and my blinkers blink faster then they would if they would be going out. I kinda like it because its kind of a JDM look but im always getting people pulling me over and telling me both my blinkers are going out. I dont really mind but I was just wondering why it may have done this?
It could just be the way you have the blubs in, try taking them out and switching them around. When I put my stock blinkers in the wrong way they blink fast, I just take them out and switch them around and they work fine.
it may help to further search LED blinkers. but I will explain briefly.
LED's have less resistance that the regular bulb filament.
Less electrical resistance = faster electrical (current) flow.
Faster current flow = faster blink.
Solution = use resistors, or buy better LED blinkers that come with built-in resistors to simulate a regular bulb.

Not to be a pill but I've yet to see a set of led conversion bulbs that come with a resistor built in to simulate the proper load.........
The two standard ways to fix the problem is A. buy an electric variable load (or led specific) flasher relay unit or B. (the more common way) buy load resistors (most are like 3bucks for a pair off ebay) and hook them inline with the bulbs (most come with scotch locks aka crimp on connectors).
I've got led bulbs for my turns (switch back towers in front which are white in running and amber in turn and amber towers in the rear) and I've just got the load resistors tied in with out any issues.

my passenger blue/amber blinker blinks fast, i think the new bulb (or LEDs) make your ECU think something is wrong since its a different bulb than what was meant for the car, thus making them blink fast.

Yea I was wrong, the load resistors go for around 10 bucks (fully heat sinked, insulated wires and crimp connectors), there is a cheaper option but I don't wanna spoil danomatic93's fun.
The fast or hyper flash comes from an improper load, a incandcent bulb has so much load that it places on the system and the flasher relay is designed for this specific load times two (for both front and rear bulbs). As I said you can either get a variable load or led (as some sellers list them) flasher relay or install load resistors from the flash positive line the ground to fix the problem.
