I just bought my civic a couple months ago and it has a bug deflector thats attached to the car with some sort of adhesive. Is their anyway to get this off and clean up the adhesive with goo-gone or if i take it off will it make my hood look horrible because it will strip some paint off?

the goo-gone won't strip the paint, but pulling at it might mess up the paint. You could try soaking it in the goo-gone for a bit or using a hair dryer to soften up the adhesive
