Default carpet replacement

my car is leaking water in various places, trunk and drivers side floor board. if it was a boat i'd have to abandon ship. so i plan on replacing my carpet after finding and fixing the leaks. anyone have any experience with this cuz i could sure use sometips right now. feeling kinda frustrated from having my car smelling damp all the time. anyone? while i'm in there i'm gonna redo any wiring that is around as well.

Are you looking for a place to buy the carpet?
I'd try Jcwhitney.com

if your carpet is just stained and not torn up or rotted or something, you can take it out, hose it off, clean it up, and dye it black. a friend of mine had really really nasty gray carpet and did that, it came out amazing.

better than before... it really doesnt smell nasty, its dye and you wash out the excess, detail shops do it all the time... just a thought, heck of a lot cheaper than replacing carpet

well if ya try washing the carpet.... take it out and pressure wash it and then suck the water out of it as much as posible and set it out in the hot sun to dry out quickly....

hopefully ya find the leaky areas... either way if its flooded that bad definatly pull the carpet and make sure the floorboards are not rusting out from the top....
