Center Console Latch Spring?
 

My 2010 Civic's center console won't stay closed. It's super annoying when the armrest randomly pops up and hits my arm. The latch that keeps it closed has no tension. It just flops back and forth. So I took the bottom cover off and found the spring to the latch. I'm not sure how it's supposed to be positioned. If I move the spring back past the only possible point of support, then the latch is stuck in the down position with way too much tension.
Can someone take a picture of theirs to show where and how this spring is supposed to be positioned?
