Default In channel window visors

Quick question regarding the fitment of the in channel variety, and window operation. Does the visor now act as the "stop" for the window, rather than the channel?

I've got visors on my 4 runner, but they're the 3M tape on variety.

Likely the Weathertech ones, but AVS's are easier to find around here.

I don't know about civics with the weathertech visors because I've heard they cause problems for the rsx. but I do see a lot of civics with the weathertech ones, so I can only assume they won't give you problems, but I think the ones that adhere on the outside of the door would be better.
