Civic LX 08 - how does it look under the dashboard?

Default Civic LX 08 - how does it look under the dashboard?
I have 2008 Honda Civic LX 4DR. I dropped something under the dashboard near the accel/break,when I looked into that area I happened to know that there's no plastic cover underneath the dashboard: see the pic. (passenger side it's covered). I can see all the wiring etc.. Is this normal on your Civic LX?
