Default CTR/Si Cluster Question

I love the way CTR and Si clusters look and I want one for my Civic EX, but the problem is I do not want the "Si" or "Civic Type R" sign on the cluster itself. I feel like it would falsely describe my car and make it look bad. I am somewhat OCD about little things like that.

So my question is... Has anyone seen an SI or CTR cluster without the SI or CTR "emblems" on it? Or does someone know how to block it off or get rid of it?

I think they are on every one. But, I have seen some CRV ones that look kinda similar if you put a CF bezel cover in it.

Yea, I did check out a CRV cluster, but I definitely need something that show a higher top RPM than 8k and a speedo more than 140.

Maybe like a black faced gauge overlay that would have the same look, that I would use to cover that far right area of the SI cluster, basically eliminating the SI but keeping everything else the same looking.

+1^ Those are all I've heard of.

Is the logo "painted" on or is it a decal? I have an SI cluster I should go check. If it were some kind of decal maybe you could peal it off. I tend to think its painted on some how though, but I wonder if you could safely use a paint thinner and take it off that way, without damaging the rest of the cluster. ?? Just a thought.

Yea I checked and it's the same on mine as well. I still wonder if paint thinner would work. I'm just dont want to try it. haha

Thanks guys for the input. This sucks! I really don't want that "si" badge there, nor the "Civic type R" badge either, but I might just end up with a SI cluster since it is cheaper. Even still, I doubt I will be confident enough to take something and try and remove the signs. If anyone finds anything out, let me know.

It shouldnt bother you so much. As long as you have some power to back up the Si emblem on it. Its not like your putting an Si badge next to some chrome tails and sick wing and claiming to be fast or something.

^^ You're right. Hopefully, I'll be walking b16's by the end of July when the turbo kit goes on. But, unfortunately it still would bother me.

Now if it said EX (instead of Si), I think that would be cool and different.
