eBay Projector Headlight Housings

I was just wondering about these headlights I saw on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=015

They say they're for 99-00 but why does it have that huge plastic piece sticking out from the back?? Isn't that the same piece that is on the 96-98 headlights?

Also has anyone had any experience with these headlights or similar ebay ones, I know they are all similar.

they are for 99-00. they have that tab on the back also. 96-00 civic headlights are very similar. you are correct they are mostly the same on ebay. if you get them remember to seal them up

Bro, I got mine off ebay and initially I had huge problems with them actually filling up with water. As everyone has said, reseal them. Also, where do you live? What's the climate like? Mine were filling with water in the tropics where it rains all day, and I have since moved to the desert and have found that the perspects front has started flakeing and pealing on the surface. I wish I could post a pic of what I mean. I think its due to the 40 degree days. Keep that in mind.

I live in Tennessee, during the school year in east tennessee. We don't get a ton of rain here, it is humid sometimes but usually it is dry, and then it gets anywhere from 10-50 degrees during the winter. So how should I reseal them, run a bead of silicone along all the seams?? Or like open them up and reseal them? See I have HID headlights right now but I have the stock ones and my stock ones are totally fogged and yellow and crap so I want to switch to some projectors and just change my HID bulbs. Is there anywhere where their might be some nicer projectors?

Procivic FTL
I have ebay projectors and have not had any problems so far with leaking or a bad seal.
Maybe I just got lucky though

I have ebay projectors as well and have had good luck with them, but the halos seemed a bit unstable. They would blow 10 amp fuses at random times. Maybe I shoulda had a higher amp fuse in, but i thought the ohm reader said eight or nine amps. idk, it was an old fashioned ammeter so it was hard to read. Other than that the headlights work fine.

See, i always head bad things about the halo rings, so I never hooked them up.
So, i bet if i hooked them up they'd go out within a week like everyone elses.
The lights works great though

My halos haven't caused a single problem, even when my lights filled with water. I guess its just luck of the draw. Some leak, some blow, (apparently only mine flake). If you want to really seal them up good, I think there is a diy on here somewhere. Silicone FTW!

Pretty much inevitably you'll get some water in these headlights. Just get a bottle of silicone and re-seal the headlights before you put them in!
