I was wondering what the differences between the 96-98 and 99-00 front bumpers.

I have always owned EGs but am thinking about getting an EK.

the most noticable difference is that the 96/98 have no hole inserts for the foggies, the 99/00 do.

 

So the 99/00 have the fog inserts like the 99/00 Si's do?

So i take it you have to cut a part of the bumper out to get the OEM fog lights in

 

correct me if i'm wrong...but i think if you were to buy the OEM fog lights for a 99-00 civic, you shouldn't have to cut any part of your bumper. i don't know for sure though.

 

With 99-00 there would be zero cutting involved. And with the 96-98 you could possibly make fogs work, but you might have to cut through the bumper.

Personally I prefer the 99-00 bumper, but thats just me.

No, you have to cut into '99-'00 bumpers also to get the OEM style fogs in. I think ONLY the SI had the bumper that would take the fogs with no cutting!

I hope my $65 Ebay OEM STYLE fogs and switch come with a template for the cut![]

Anyone put amber lenses or bulbs in there OEM style fogs?

 

I thought that the front bumper was the same for the Si and the Ex. Is there a difference in them?
