My suggestion -I like neons... just don't do blue (there are other colors that are illegal also on certain parts of your car)! I have blue on my car and I've been pulled over three times this year for them! Also make sure you have a switch to turn them on and off (don't have them come on with your headlights outside your car) that is how I got out of trouble when i got pulled over. i got a lecture each time about the color and then the po po went on his way.

Well, I have had blue LEDsIN my car (both my previous and current car) and have never been pulled over.
I always drive with them on at night. Under the dash, under the seats, lighting the trunk and subs. Everything is on seperate switched. And I haven't been pulled over, ticketed, etc. I suppose it just depends on if your cops in the area have nothing better to do.IMO blues look great. Don't get neons though, get LEDs.
Check out oznium.com

That only goes if you are talking about interior lights.

Exterior, I say just pass on. You're askin to get pulled over for the underbody lights.

That's what I'm talking about - I'm all blue in the interior from my dome to my feet. But it is the blue on the outside that is illegal - I have it in the grill, side markers, windshield sprayers... that's why you need to check and see what colors are illegal on what parts of the car... i believe red is illegal on the front also, but not illegal on the back. And +1 for oznium.com - I bought 60 led's, they ship them quick on their dolphins and they are all over my car!

if you want a truely nice UB setup then do it all custom then go with some oznium flex led strips! and hide them!

if you dont hide the lights they will look HORIBLE!!! if you hide the lights and fully light up the bottom of the car it can look VERY NICE.... if any part of the lights themselves are viewable or huge gaps then it looks HORIBLE/RICE/COP MAGNET!

every state is different about UB lights..... some have illegal colors, some illegal if viewable.... and some illegal all the time any color!

neons are so old school!

my old $50 LED underbody kit from eBay did me just fine for what i paid. Hide the tubes, aim the LED's at the ground and secure the tubes from spinning with some sort of epoxy, wire it all to a switch, fuse it, and you'll be happy. Just obey local laws, don't drive like your car is any faster with them on, and make sure to hide the tubes. It looks HORRIBLE otherwise.
