Default Fixing rear 1/4 panel rust...

What up guys, Im new to the forum , i have a 97 Ex black pretty much stock.(starting project)A friend of mine told me that if I got two front fenders, the body shop could use them to fix the rust on the rear 1/4 panel. He said something about the symetry on the front fenders will match the one of the 1/4 panel to the opposite side to a certain point.Left front = rear right Is this correct?

Depending how bad it is, usually people just cut it out and weld new metal in.

The only way to do it and have it really fix the problem is to cut it and put in new metal. I would say weld it, but you can use certain glues that will work.

Thanks for the replies! I'll post some pictures on my profile, if I can figure it out, and keep you guys posted on the progress. I live in Cleveland, so if anyone is from around here and would like to meet up and share some of the hook ups I would greatly appreciate it!
